Our Beginnings

Heart of the Basin Quilters & Needle Arts Guild was founded in 2004 by a group of visionary woman who wanted to encourage the appreciation and artistry of quilting and related needle arts through education, service and fellowship opportunities. We are organized as a corporation and are designated as a nonprofit group under IRS code 501(c) (3). Funding for our activities comes from membership dues, donations, craft booth sales and our biennially produced quilt show. The quilt show is held on odd numbered years.

2019 Opportunity Quilt

Shown above is this year's raffle quilt.  Made by members with wool batting and beautifully quilted, it is sized 96" x 106". Tickets are available from members and at various local festivals. Half of the raffle proceeds will be given to the Food Bank.

We are schedule to be at the Merrill Potato Festival on Oct. 18th & 19th, and the Quota Bazaar on Dec. 7th & 8th. The winner will be drawn on Dec 16th.

Heart of the Basin Quilters was formed to share our love of quilting and needle arts with the community.
